Nothing For The Maggots

Tickle my tendons and pinch my veins.

You do all the things

Others have tried and failed.

You have burrowed through skin

Slipped through sinew

Nestled in platelets

Wallowed in aqueous humour.

There are no places you do not reach

No part of me that does not contain you.

I am your vessel and you are in mine.

Leave and I deflate.

I become a carcass in the heat.

A forgotten piece of meat.

Forgotten and rotten.

So please continue to infest,

To consume.

Leave nothing for the maggots.
