They acted like they were on a show.

The witty banter. The raucous laughs.

They were a pack.

A pack of Jacks. A pack of fools.

They wanted us to watch.

What did they expect ?

Applause? A date?

They made me blush.

We were all that young once.

I too belonged to a pack.

I blushed for thinking anyone really gave a shit.

We are all performing monkeys

But only the trees are watching.

We stuff bananas in our mouths

For no one.

Ooh ooh. Aah. Aah.

That’s why I blush.

They thought I was swooning.
